Feels like they really upped the ante when it comes to everyone's ace cards compared to the first season. It's just insane strat after insane strat; very satisfying to watch in action.

Though not quite as satisfying as seeing these two finally hit it off for real. Wholeheartedly approve of all that post-battle wholesomeness, and of Tsubasa cracking some proper smiles and laughs~

Btw, you're right, Ren's cards are so cool too in terms of mechanic and design.. Especially that Heroic Entry is downright broken lol

It's not draw 7 but draw until you have 7 cards in hand (which is totally different and the impact is very different too)

So it is still quite balanced in that sense, since you need to somehow empty your hand AND have that Valiant Lancer in your hand at the same time to maximize it.. In most case, you'll just draw 2 or 3 unless you play very aggresive aggro deck, plus somehow still survived until T8 (because most aggro deck will end the game at turn 5 or 6, whether they win or lose)

But the true powerhouse is that making the Hero trait followers to cost 0, AFTER DRAW, that's what I called unbalanced lol

deck seems pretty aggro so u would usually use it to draw your almost whole hand :|

man, Valiant Fencer. talk about value xD reminds me a lot of Luxblade Arriet actually, since both cards have draw until 7 cards in hand as well when you fulfill their requirement (Enhance 8 for Valiant Fencer, 7 evolve in a match for Luxblade Arriet) and surprise surprise, Luxblade Arriet was a strong card since evolve sword was on its peak during its release (nowadays it's part of one of the two kinds of rally sword).

I can see Valiant Fencer stays unchanged on its transition to the game, maybe lower enhance costs if they think the other Hero cards are not powerful enough since he relies on the other Hero followers to even be meaningful with that enhance.

having his leader effect on his evo effect is also good since that makes playing him before enhance is not too terrible as then you can evo him earlier to get the leader effect earlier. the great thing as well is they gave him a free evolve for its enhance so in case you didn't manage to evo him earlier you'll be able to get his leader effect on enhance. this is the kind of thoughtful design that would be seen in modern shadowverse cards for sure, which really shows how much the anime team have stepped up their card designing compared to previous season.

So I guess Gentleman is actually a girl since the preview showed his Digifriend with a female character we have never seen before.

Tsubasa is mainly right about how friendships work today... however, she is right only for when it comes to friendships 'these days', which are more stale and meaningless, not to mention easily shattered by external things (like moving places, schools, jobs, etc.). I do believe however that internally, Ren is truly right, bcs most adults are not truly honest when they say that they don't care about having wholesome and closer friendships. But they have to comply to how things are in the world, which is not a choice, but an obligation. Quite sad thinking about it really. :(
